August in the Pacific Northwest Garden
As weather warms monitor watering on trees & shrubs. Check soil before watering. Established trees & shrubs need little to no watering depending on conditions. As a general rule, trees & shrubs should not be fertilized after the first of July.
To keep your annuals blooming through summer feed with water soluble fertilizer every other watering. Remove spent blossoms (dead head) regularly to promote new blooms.
Sit back and enjoy your garden in bloom!!
